Day after arriving in Zagreb, some of the teams participated at training sessions in the morning and the afternoon at the sandy court of the Lake Jarun. One of them were students from Novi Sad, who shared their first impressions with us.

"They welcomed us very nicely here in Zagreb. The organization is at a high level. We have everything provided, so I think that our conditions are fulfilled to play a quality tournament. Our goal is to win a medal and we will make the effort to achieve that goal'', said Nevena, an English student.

Handball player from Novi Sad, Slađana Žigić, agreed with her colleague and added: ''The participation in this Championship means a lot to us, because this is the first time, we've gathered a university selection, so we'd like to return with a medal. The conditions for training in this sport improved trough the years and the number of teams - both men and women - is increasing. We have achieved our goal for this year, and we hope for success at the European University Championship’’, she concluded.

After the final training, the University of Novi Sad's team is ready for the first match, scheduled for July 25th at 10:30h versus the Cyprus International University.
