After only two days, the athletes brought their youth and positive energy and after only two days of training, announced a good tournament of this Championship. Sava and Jarun are filled with sports youth, which gives the impression that this first historic European Universities Beach Handball Championship will leave a significant impression on all.

At the dormitory, athletes are already singing and dancing and showing that besides hard training, they have enough energy for entertainment and social life. Zagreb, as a host city, will strive to leave a good impression and in order to do that, the city requires the help of all athletes, organizers, and volunteers. Athletes are excepted to play in the spirit of Fair Play, as well as fighting and showing some attractive moves that adorn this sport.

The courts of the Lake Jarun await for the first matches, the first goals, and the first victories and the defeats. All matches will be played on the hot courts of the Jarun Lake through three days of the competition (July 25 – 27). All the athletes had the opportunity to further improve their form, to improve their tactics and to readily wait for the beginning of the Championship.

At the GTM, held by representatives of each university, rules were confirmed, and the competition was drawn. All the details of the competition system were presented to the athletes as well.

There is only a little time left to relax or analyze the team have, before the start of the first game on the sand. To you all, historical participants of this summer sport, we want a tournament filled with good energy, attractive game, and top moves. It is up to you to show how it is time for beach handball to become part of the EUSA program. Let’s write together the first pages of the new sports story!
