Zagreb, the capital of Croatia will host EUSA EHF Beach Handball Championship, which will round-up the best European student-athletes on this first and historic universities championship in this sport. 

 

The event will take place on Jarun Lake, July 24 - 27, 2019 and it is organized jointly by European University Sports Association, European Handball Federation and Croatian Academic Sports Federation.

EUC Beach handball 2019 officially ended in Zagreb

First and historical European Universities Beach Handball Championship ended in a thrilling Closing Ceremony near Jarun Lake in Zagreb. Almost 150 participants representing 16 Universities from 8 countries took part in this year’s edition of the event, the 1st in EUSA history. 

 

After challenging three days of competition and interesting matches, we got our medalist. The University of Zagreb won the 3rd place in the women category, the University of Novi Sad was the second and the University of Barcelona, after the furious game in semifinals and finals finished as champion. In man category, almost the same three teams climbed up the throne. However, guys from the University of Barcelona was third, the University of Belgrade finished as the second and champions of the first EUSA beach handball edition are the hosts from Zagreb.  

 

Ronald Štrumberger, executive director of the competition addressed all the participants, volunteers and organizers and thanked for beautiful four days, all the efforts and great corporations on all parts. Mr. Wolf Frühauf exchanged token of appreciation and Paque of the Organizing Committee with Mr. Ole R. Jorstad, Chairman of the EHF Beach Handball Commission, for achieved cooperation in the organization of this Championship.

 

For the end of this Ceremony, EUSA flag was lowered and handed over from the current organizer of EUSA.
